Veteran Story: Colin James Mansell was born Port Kembla, New South Wales on 22nd September 1943. He service with the 4th Field Regiment of the Royal Corps of Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from 16th April 1967 to 27th February 1968. Colin died on the 8th August 2016 and is buried at the Queensland Garden of Remembrance, Bridgeman Downs, Brisbane Qld. (Memorial ID: 251444345) Notes: Information available on the DVA Nominal Rolls are limited to dates of service in Vietnam, not dates of entire service in the Army. From sources on line it appears the 4th Field regiment belongs to the Field Artillery Section. However Colin's record states he was assigned to the 4th Field Regiment-Royal Australia Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. The difficulty lies in finding where he actually served without access to his official records that are not yet available from the National Archives of Australia due to the Privacy act.
