Veteran Story: Harry was single and working as a shop assistant, living in Leichhardt NSW when he enlisted. He has spent time with the 26th Regiment of the Militia prior to joining the AIF. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion but his records show no official number and no record of training. He died at the Prince Alfred Hospital of Acute Miliary Tuberculosis and was buried on the 17th January 1916 at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Rookwood, NSW.
